Kilimanjaro Trek Raises £19k For Charity

A funeral director has completed a Kilimanjaro charity climb, raising over £19,000 for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent. Dave Fowles, who runs Fowles Funeral Services in Winsford, spent seven days trekking up the mountain back in September, saying that it was down to the love of his family and friends, and the generosity of others, that kept him going long enough to complete it, the Winsford Guardian reports.
